AM Class - Daily Schedule
8:00 Arrival
Students begin to arrive
8:00-8:10 Arrival Routine
Students enter the classroom as they arrive at school. They place their belongings in their crate, wash their hands, and take care of their bathroom needs if needed. Then, students will engage with books while waiting for their peers to
complete the arrival routine.
8:10-8:20 Group Meeting
Students will greet one another, sing morning greeting song, and count how many students are in attendance. Students will assist in reading our morning message, and respond to the question of the day.
8:20-8:30 Small Group
At their individual learning stations, students will engage in a learning activity led by a teacher with other students.
8:30-8:50 Interest Area
Students are able to choose toys, investigative materials, and games from their individual learning center. Teachers will support play and encourage conversations among peers from a distance.
8:50-9:05 Outside/ Gym
Students are able to participate in active play using gross motor skills.
9:05-9:10 Transition
Students will transition from gross motor activities back to the classroom, and wash their hands.
9:10-9:30 Interest Area
Students are able to choose toys, investigative materials, and games from their individual learning center. Teachers will support play and encourage conversations among peers from a distance.
9:30-9:35 Transition
Students will put away materials in the designated area and transition to music and movement.
9:35-9:45 Group Meeting
Read Aloud
Students will engage with a story read aloud on the carpet.
9:45-9:55 Music and Movement
Students will engage in music and movement activities on the carpet.
9:55-10:00 Prepare for departure
Students get their belongings from the crate and prepare for departure. They are called by name to line up in order to board the bus or to be picked up by the parent.
10:00 Dismissal
Students depart school.
